Liverpool fans travelling for the Champions League<\/a> fixture at Galatasaray next week will be forced to travel to the stadium more than four hours before kickoff, or face not being permitted entrance.<\/b><\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s second Champions League<\/a> game of the season sees Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s men travel to Istanbul to face Galatasaray at the Rams Park Stadium.<\/p>\n

It is an away trip that has raised serious questions over fan treatment in the past, including from Man United<\/a> during their travels to the stadium last season.<\/p>\n

On that day, there was only a limited number of turnstiles, which led to serious concerns about overcrowding, exacerbated by little help from the stewards or local police.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have received an allocation of 2,502, and the club have informed supporters that they must travel to the ground by the 30 free buses provided to be permitted access to the stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupporters arriving at the stadium by any means other than the pre-arranged shuttle buses will not be permitted access to the stadium,\u201d the club\u2019s travel document states<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The buses are to leave at 5.30pm local time (3.30pm UK), four-and-a-half hours before kickoff, with the usual 40-minute journey anticipated to be at least 90 minutes.<\/p>\n

The buses are not accessible and do not have toilet facilities on board, and supporters will be held back after the match for at least 90 minutes, with the buses to return fans to Sultanahmet Square.<\/p>\n

To compound the issue, the club have informed travelling supporters that anything that can be considered a projectile by stadium authorities will be seized, which includes power banks.<\/p>\n

With supporters needing to travel to the ground more than four hours pre-kickoff, before being held back 90 minutes after, plus the journey back to the city, the lack of access to charge a phone is a serious safety concern.<\/p>\n

Liverpool supporters\u2019 group the Spirit of Shankly, have said they have raised the issue<\/a> with the club having \u201cmade it clear this is totally unacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is another example of fans travelling to games in Europe being treated with contempt for simply wanting to support their club.<\/p>\n
