\"STYLE\"<\/p>\n

The show kicked off at 7pm in Perks Field, Kensington Palace Gardens, aka the back garden of the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate. <\/p>\n

So far, so British. And the best of British talent were out in full force, with actors, musicians, footballers, and more taking their seats on the FROW. (And mentally preparing for the after party)<\/a>. <\/p>\n

This included Croydon singer RAYE<\/a>, who wore a belted wool coat, classic Burberry check shirt and knee high boots, and model Alexa Chung, who was in a modern twist on the brand\u2019s iconic trench coats. <\/p>\n

Then there was Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who looked dapper in his moss green beret, navy bomber jacket and shades, and model Lila Moss, who wore a Burberry shrug atop a perfectly minimalist little black dress with a faded check pattern. <\/p>\n

Legendary British model Twiggy was looking awfully 007, rocking up in a full suit, while rapper Loyle Carner was wrapped up in an Inspector Calls-esque coat. <\/p>\n

English actress Ellie Bamber prompted major jacket envy in a camo green belted coat with a Nova check foldover trim, and Jodie Turner-Smith was as pristine as ever in a cascading patterned dress. <\/p>\n

There were a lot of all-black looks, with Jean Campbell in a short jacket and skinny jeans (yes, they\u2019re back<\/a>) and Gene Gallagher in a smart black bomber and tailored trousers. Maya Jama went full Morticia Addams in a black ruched dress with a deconstructed hem and sleeves.<\/p>\n

The Burberry show always attracts big names \u2014 in the crowd and on the catwalk. And in attendance this year as well as last were Jonathan Bailey, Joanna Lumley and Skepta.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll soon see who follows in the footsteps of actors Lesley Manville, Jason Isaacs, Sope Dirisu and Elizabeth McGovern by appearing on the runway.<\/p>\n

This show is particularly exciting for Burberry, with the brand reporting its best sales performance in 18 months earlier this quarter. This comes as a result of the brand\u2019s star-studded festival campaign (Chung and Gallagher both featured) helping to boost the sales of items such as wellies, scarves and light jackets. <\/p>\n

So, will Daniel Lee’s latest collection keep up the momentum? We\u2019ll simply have to wait and see. <\/p>\n
