\n\tThe royal family<\/a> isn\u2019t going to be able to run away from the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal<\/a>. Right now, the issue doesn\u2019t involve Prince Andrew, though.<\/p>\n

\n\tSarah Ferguson<\/a>, the Duke of York\u2019s ex-wife, also orbited in the late pedophile\u2019s inner circle, and now, a 2011 email, published by The Sun<\/a>, showed just how close they were<\/a>. At the time, she had publicly sworn to have cut off contact with Epstein, but her email tells another story.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou have always been a steadfast, generous, and supreme friend to me and my family,\u201d she gushed in the letter after having denounced their friendship to the public. Over the weekend, her spokesperson gave a statement to the BBC<\/a> with allegations that Epstein was going to sue her for defamation in 2011. \u201cThis email was sent in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\n\tNow, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>, the latest revelations may force King Charles III\u2019s hand for Ferguson\u2019s \u201chumble apology\u201d to the convicted criminal. With Prince Andrew already exiled from his senior royal role and cut off from his private source of funding, \u201cthere is literally no more the king can do to cut off support [to the duke].\u201d But there is still one trick up the monarch\u2019s sleeve: \u201cPrevent his brother attending family events in a private capacity.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt is about the last sanction he may be able to take,\u201d a source noted to the U.K. outlet.<\/p>\n

\n\tIf King Charles is afraid to make the move, he will likely be encouraged by Prince William, who is done with his uncle\u2019s antics. On Sept. 16, the Prince of Wales was \u201cboiling with anger<\/a>\u201d toward Andrew for scoring a coveted seat at the Duchess of Kent\u2019s funeral, per the Daily Beast<\/a>. William felt \u201cambushed\u201d by Andrew\u2019s presence because he did not want to be associated with the Duke of York\u2019s scandals.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWilliam always said, \u2018Just cut Andrew off completely<\/a>. It\u2019s not appropriate to have an alleged sex offender breaking bread with the royal family.\u2019 Charles was so desperate to be seen as embodying the spirit of Christian forgiveness that he let Andrew back in,\u201d a palace insider told the Daily Beast<\/a> in an early September report.<\/p>\n

\n\tAndrew and Ferguson\u2019s long-running friendship with Epstein was always a problem, and King Charles needs to handle the situation once and for all.<\/p>\n
