Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has launched a scathing rant on Marcus Rashford.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford<\/a> left Manchester United on loan to sign with Barcelona<\/a> this summer, after playing the second half of last season with Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

Despite starting United\u2019s first game under Ruben Amorim<\/a>, Rashford fell out of favour after being axed for last December\u2019s derby<\/a>, and subsequently stating he wanted a new challenge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rashford scored two goals for Barcelona<\/a> in their Champions League win over Newcastle last week, earning widespread praise.<\/p>\n

Paul Scholes<\/a> says that amid all the fanfare for Marcus Rashford, he cannot feel happy for the Manchester United loanee<\/a>. After the game, on social media he praised Pedri<\/a>, and ignored Rashford\u2019s contribution.<\/p>\n

Scholes says this is because he still feels resentment towards the way Rashford\u2019s Manchester United career fell off track.<\/p>\n

He blames the player and accuses Rashford of failing to give maximum effort at all times, with a blistering rant laying into the forward.<\/p>\n

Scholes told The Good, The Bad & The Football: \u201cThere\u2019s no doubt the talent that kid has got, it\u2019s ridiculous, he\u2019s shown up in a big game, and that second goal was brilliant. <\/p>\n

\u201cI really struggled to feel happy for him, to feel pleased for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cMainly because his attitude, his attitude at United. The time he was leaving, I thought it was just disgrace at United, not trying, basically.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook, if you fell out with a manager, then OK, but remember, you\u2019ve got teammates you\u2019re playing with.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got a massive 80,000 there, whatever it is, every single week that you have to put a bit of effort in.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe amount of times I saw him at United walking because he wants to leave, I thought his whole demeanour was a disgrace. <\/p>\n

\u201cI think he actually quit on Manchester United. And once you quit once, you\u2019ll quit again.<\/p>\n

Scholes warns Rashford about Barcelona<\/p>\n

Scholes claims he saw some worrying signs from Rashford in Barcelona\u2019s win over Newcastle<\/a> despite his two goals.<\/p>\n

\u201cEven thinking at Newcastle Barcelona again, there were signs of him just not wanting to run back and not wanting to work for his team again. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe won\u2019t get away with that at Barcelona for long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rashford was dropped from the starting line-up from Barcelona\u2019s subsequent game after arriving late to a meeting, a worrying sign.<\/p>\n

He came off the bench to provide an assist, and Hansi Flick\u2019s deft handling of the situation was praised<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rashford appears to be enjoying his fresh start at Barcelona, where he is out of the Old Trafford spotlight \u2013 but clearly not far away enough to escape criticism from club legends<\/a> like Scholes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has launched a scathing rant on Marcus Rashford.
