A Glasgow shop has been cordoned off by police after a man was rushed to hospital following a “disturbance”.<\/a><\/p>\n

Emergency crews<\/a> raced to Duke Street in Dennistoun at around 10pm on Sunday September 21 after receiving reports of a “disturbance”.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival at the connivence store, a man was rushed to hospital – where his condition is currently unknown.<\/a><\/p>\n

Images from the scene<\/a> show officers standing guard at the corner shop which is surrounded by police tape.<\/p>\n

Glasgow Live<\/a> reports enquiries are ongoing into the incident.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland<\/a> spokesperson said: \u201cAround 10.05pm on Sunday, 21 September, 2025, we were called to a report of a disturbance on Duke Street in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

\u201cEmergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cEnquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances.\u201d<\/p>\n

This comes after we reported, in a separate incident, that a man appeared in court charged with assault and robbery following an incident at a Glasgow corner shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A shop worker was allegedly attacked at around 9pm on Saturday August 16 at the USave store on Hawthorn Street in Springburn.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland confirmed they charged a 31-year-old man in connection and Colin McKay, of Glasgow, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court<\/a> on Monday August 25.<\/p>\n

He was charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, permanent impairment and robbery.<\/p>\n

He made no plea<\/a> and was remanded in custody. He was set to appear back in the dock in the next eight days.<\/p>\n
