James Middleton<\/a> just gave fans something they rarely see \u2014 a peek inside his family life. From a sweet birthday moment at home to a glitzy London night out with some very famous faces, the younger brother of Kate Middleton<\/a> is showing two very different sides of life right now.<\/p>\n

James Middleton Celebrates Son Inigo\u2019s Birthday<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Middleton posted a photo to Instagram<\/a> to mark his son Inigo\u2019s second birthday. The photo showed Inigo hugging the family\u2019s golden retriever, Mabel, while dressed in blue shorts, a matching top, and stripey socks.<\/p>\n

\u201cHappy Birthday Inigo. We love you as much as you love Mabel\u2026.and that is a lot. And Ella is saying hello today too,\u201d James, 38, wrote, referencing both Mabel and his late cocker spaniel Ella, who died in January 2023. A rainbow appeared in the background of the shot, a symbolic nod to the beloved pet.<\/p>\n

James has often spoken about the impact dogs have had on his life. \u201cI credit Ella to saving my life when I was eclipsed with Clinical depression, she introduced me to my wife, gave me purpose and loved me unconditionally,\u201d he previously shared.<\/p>\n

His bond with Ella even inspired his 2024 book \u201cMeet Ella, The Dog Who Saved My Life.\u201d<\/p>\n

Middleton has given cocker spaniel puppies to his sister and her husband, Prince William. Their late pet, Lupo, and their current companion, Orla, were gifts from him.<\/p>\n

Family Life And London Appearance<\/p>\n

James and his wife, Aliz\u00e9e Thevenet, usually keep their life with Inigo private at their Berkshire farmhouse, but he has occasionally reflected on fatherhood.<\/p>\n

In an interview with HELLO!<\/a>, he said, \u201cNo matter how much people say to you about how wonderful it is, or how it will change your life, nothing can ever prepare you for that experience of seeing a little baby that\u2019s yours arrive. It unlocks something in your heart that you didn\u2019t know was there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, James attended the Longchamp FW25 \u201cLondon Calling\u201d event in Soho, where he was photographed alongside celebrities including Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and Douglas Booth.<\/p>\n

True to form, he brought one of his six dogs, stylishly dressed in a silk neckerchief. James wore a light pink jacket, a crisp white shirt, beige trousers, and Chelsea boots, matching effortlessly with his furry plus-one.<\/p>\n
