Bradley will be opposing Donald when the seniors get going on Friday, but Gallacher<\/a> told the amusing tale of how he was shredded ahead of Gleneagles by Euro legend Lee Westwood.<\/a><\/p>\n The Tartan star, who played in that 2014 success for Paul McGinley\u2019s men, recalled the incident at one of the pre-tournament events while speaking on the Daily Record\u2019s Ryder Cup Preview Show.<\/p>\n Gallacher said: \u201cWe\u2019re sitting at the official dinner, 2014. It\u2019s amazing.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sitting next to Keegan Bradley, [Lee] Westwood sitting over there, our wives are around there and we just start getting talking and Bradley says Medinah hit him hard, really hard. So much so he says I\u2019ve got my two suitcases, all my gear, everything, all zipped up untouched in my cupboard in my spare room.<\/p>\n \u201cWestwood looked over and says: I hope you\u2019ve got a big cupboard by the way because you\u2019ve got two more coming! He didn\u2019t really take it very well, you know one of the ones. And I thought: Well done Westy, that\u2019s one in the ribs straight away!<\/p>\n \u201cWesty\u2019s playing about eight Ryder Cups or whatever and he could say that. And I thought that\u2019s a belter, but he didn\u2019t really take it well.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s a good banter, back in the day there was more of a America was America and we\u2019re [over] here, but now they play against each other every week.\u201d<\/p>\n Before the seniors start, Gallacher is steering the Junior Ryder Cup team as they look to emulate their convincing win in Rome.<\/p>\n Tuesday and Wednesday will be played at Nassau before the final day on Thursday at Bethpage Black in front of a huge crowd.<\/p>\n Gallacher said: \u201cI mean, I\u2019m just blessed. I\u2019ve got a front row seat watching the next No.1s, the next Ryder Cup, the next Solheim Cup. I get them for a couple of days and it\u2019s just trying to make them enjoy themselves and go out and do the same thing they got them in the team. And just soak it in.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m just telling them to soak it in. If history repeats itself, the players that I\u2019ve played in the Ryder Cup, Junior Ryder Cup, is off the charts. So it\u2019s going to be one of you guys here, either the boy or girl, that\u2019s going to be in a Solheim or a Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got two players from last year that are playing, so there\u2019s ten new faces. I just want to get them playing as a team as quickly as possible and just enjoy it. Just do the same golf they got you in.<\/p>\n \u201cIf they can do that, who knows? If they win, brilliant.
