Bee Our Guest book launches to cross sector Industry support and hits #2 Best Seller on Amazon Children\u2019s Listing.<\/p>\n

Bee Our Guest, the new children\u2019s book championing hospitality careers for ages 7\u201310, launched on Thursday 18 September at The Clubhouse, Parr Street, and it blew past expectations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The room was packed with leaders from hospitality and education, the Q&A session with Steven Hesketh and Natalie Reeves Billing was inspirational, and by the end of launch day the book had climbed to #2 on Amazon\u2019s bestseller rankings, sitting alongside the likes of David Walliams\u2019 Gangsta Granny book.<\/p>\n

Created by hospitality leader Steven Hesketh, Liverpool author Natalie Reeves Billing, and illustrator Hannah Jesse, Bee Our Guest is a full-colour story that sneaks real hospitality roles, standards, and teamwork into a fun narrative kids actually want to read. The mission is simple: get hospitality on children\u2019s radars early, show pride and skill behind the scenes, and rebuild the pipeline of talent our industry needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe set ourselves a ridiculous target, but our industry showed up. Hitting #2 on launch day wasn\u2019t luck, it was people buying and supporting us because they know we need to fix the perception of hospitality at the source: primary school. We\u2019re not waiting for someone else to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The plan: build teacher-friendly lesson packs, run assemblies\/author visits, and line up partnerships with colleges and employers so early curiosity can lead to real experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steven Hesketh\u00a0through his Hospitality Hero agenda, was so concerned that\u00a0the Hospitality Industry talent pipeline\u00a0is\u00a0drying up, so he\u00a0decided\u00a0to stop moaning\u00a0about it and take action!<\/p>\n

Too many kids don\u2019t even see hospitality as a \u201creal\u201d career\u00a0or even understand its existence;\u00a0and\u00a0by the time they hit secondary school, the door\u2019s already half-shut, with little vision or understanding of what Hospitality is.<\/p>\n

Steven wanted to change this\u00a0story, tackle the knowledge of kids at\u00a0primary\u00a0school\u00a0age, so he teamed up with\u00a0a fantastic\u00a0Liverpool\u00a0Children\u2019s\u00a0author Natalie Reeves Billing and illustrator Hannah Jesse to build a\u00a0story that simply shows and educates on\u00a0the real jobs,\u00a0opportunities\u00a0and teamwork\u00a0within\u00a0Hospitality. The goal is simple:\u00a0Put\u00a0the Hospitality\u00a0Industry\u00a0on children\u2019s radar, give teachers something\u00a0to\u00a0plug-and-play, and start rebuilding pride in an industry that keeps our towns and cities alive. That\u2019s the mission. No gloss. Just action.<\/p>\n

Steven Hesketh\u00a0has spent 30+ years in Hospitality\u00a0running\u00a0Hotels,\u00a0Restaurants, Bars, Events and\u00a0building\u00a0teams\u00a0to deliver Experiential Hospitality.\u00a0He\u2019s the founder of Hospitality Hero and the Savvy Hotel\u00a0Group, operating independent, community-rooted venues across the North West and North Wales, including The Chester Townhouse and Hotel Wrexham\u00a0plus he is the Co-Owner of the fabulous 3 & \u00bd Day Family Music Festival \u2013 Devafest attracting 30,000 people to Cholmondeley Castle every August.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He spends as much time outside hotel walls as inside them, supporting local hospitality associations in\u00a0Liverpool,\u00a0Chester and Cheshire East,\u00a0and creates\u00a0hospitality ecosystems,\u00a0by\u00a0pulling the sector together around practical stuff that moves the needle\u00a0in\u00a0workforce, training, guest experience, and profitability.\u00a0<\/p>\n
