Coronation Street<\/a> star Alan Halsall was seen enjoying a ‘lunch date’ with one of his castmates before they made a moving announcement.<\/p>\nThe actor, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, recently returned to the UK after heading on a trip of a lifetime with his daughter. Alan and 11-year-old Sienna ditched the UK for Thailand to attend a wedding.<\/p>\n
But as well as the special occasion itself, the father and daughter have been having plenty of fun, with Alan sharing a number of updates online.<\/p>\n
However, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and last Tuesday (April 15), Alan took to his Instagram Story and posted a picture of the beach alongside the message: “And that is us out of here.”<\/p>\n
Since his return to the UK, Alan has continued to reflect on the time away and shared a fun-packed video to Instagram hailing the people who helped him and his 11-year-old daughter have the time of their lives.<\/p>\n
Alongside the post, the soap star wrote to his 328,000 followers: “Friends\u2026Some old, some New. So many people made this such a special trip for Sienna & Me.”<\/p>\n
Now, Alan has given a glimpse at what he’s been up to since his return, which included catching up with Corrie co-star Sam Aston on the golf course.<\/p>\n
Sharing a smiling picture of the Chesney Brown actor to his Instagram Story as he tucked into his lunch, Alan wrote in view of his followers: 10 hols & lunch date with Big Chez,” before tagging their location as the Worsley Park Country Club.<\/p>\n

He then shared a follow-up post in which he, Sam and fellow Corrie star Andy Whyment announced the charity they’ll support this year at their charity gold event.<\/p>\n
Alongside a picture of the trio, a message read: “This year we are proud to support Friends of Serenity.” A longer message then read: “We are proud to announce this year we will be supporting Friends of Serenity<\/p>\n
“Friends of Serenity aims to preserve and protect the health of sick and pregnant women and those who suffer miscarriage, still birth or neonatal death.”<\/p>\n
Alan also added to the post that the charity was chosen by Sam and his wife, Briony, who sadly endured two tragic miscarriages within four months of each other.<\/p>\n
Briony previously explained that their sad loss of one of their babies was the result of ‘Vanishing Twin Syndrome’, a condition in which one of the babies stops growing and the mother\u2019s body then absorbs the embryo and tissue.<\/p>\n
The midwife discovered Briony had been expecting non-identical twins – developing in two separate amniotic sacs with their own placentas- after locating the lost twin\u2019s remaining amniotic sac during the scan.<\/p>\n
“If we hadn\u2019t had the early scan, I wouldn\u2019t even have known,” she said. “But it does explain why I was so sick and tired this time around compared to my other pregnancies.”<\/p>\n
It was then in 2024 that Sam and Briony revealed they had welcomed a new baby girl. “Welcome to the world…Hazel Marie Aston. 07.05.24 8lbs 15oz,” they wrote alongside pictures from Hazel’s arrival, including Briony’s water birth in a large pool.<\/p>\n
