Finally, Patrick Bamford looks to have found himself a new home but it will come as a bit of a surprise to Leeds United fans after the striker was released earlier this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking to reporters after the pre-season friendly against Man United, Daniel Farke<\/a> confirmed Bamford<\/a> had been told that he was not a part of the German\u2019s plans. Then, in August, Leeds<\/a> released the striker.<\/p>\n

Bamford has remained a free agent. Wrexham denied interest in Bamford<\/a>, while there was never a chance of a reunion with Luke Ayling\u2019s Middlesbrough<\/a>. Celtic held talks with Bamford<\/a> just after deadline day.<\/p>\n

But Brendan Rodgers chose to sign his old Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho<\/a> instead. Bamford has been the subject of interest from Championship clubs and MLS sides, as per The Mail<\/a>, but is now off to Spain.<\/p>\n

Reports on Tuesday emerged, confirming that Bamford was set to sign for Getafe<\/a>. The Mail have since reported that a deal is likely to be announced on Wednesday, with a deal ready once he does a medical.<\/p>\n

It will see Bamford fulfil a life-long ambition of playing outside of England, but he may not have expected to join a Spanish side currently sitting in eighth place in La Liga. It will see him face Joseph<\/a> and Ramazani<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bamford will face Joseph on November 9 when Getafe go tonot Estadi Mallorca Son Moix. But Getafe will host Ramazani \u2013 who is currently injured<\/a> \u2013 and his Valencia side on January 18, 2026. The return fixture against Joseph\u2019s Mallorca takes place on May 13, the third-last league game of the season.<\/p>\n

Of course, Bamford will also get the chance to face Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Real Madrid\u2019s other stars should a deal with Getafe get done. He will also reunite with Barcelona\u2019s Raphinha.<\/p>\n

Raphinha remains an icon at Elland Road, having placed fifth in the Ballon d\u2019Or rankings<\/a> on Monday.
