There are lots of things to consider when you’re looking for a family home and it seems there’s one area in the region that’s ticking all the boxes.<\/p>\n

While city centre dwellers may feel they have a prime spot, new research has shown that Altrincham<\/a> actually holds the title for the best place to raise a family.<\/p>\n

Research from Bell Financial Solutions looked into data around the quality of schools, crime levels in the area, commuter times to the city centre, and affordability of homes, to find the best place to relocate if you are looking to raise your family in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Altrincham topped the list, boasting average house sales at \u00a3400k and a range of top Trafford<\/a> schools within close proximity, including several rated Outstanding by Ofsted. The area also has solid links to the city centre with sub-30-minute commutes via the train or tram, as well as a medium to low crime rate.<\/p>\n

Didsbury<\/a> and Bramhall<\/a> also made the top three, but were marked down due to a slightly higher crime rate in the former and expensive house prices in the latter.<\/p>\n

Daniel Bell, director and mortgage adviser at Bell Financial Solutions, has shared exactly why Altrincham is the place to move at the moment for young and aspiring families.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot to weigh up when choosing where to put down roots as a family, but focusing on a few key factors can make the decision far clearer,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Price will always be a sticking point, but don\u2019t just look at the value of the home you\u2019re trying to buy. It\u2019s just as important to look at the wider area to understand long-term value and how the community is developing.<\/p>\n
