Jon Jones shared a wholesome moment with one of the greatest of all time several months ago.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since his official retirement in June, there has been a lot of talk regarding where Jones ranks in the greatest of all time debate<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The last year of his career may not have been the highlight of his run, but the resume that \u2018Bones\u2019 brings to the table is difficult to match in some regards.<\/p>\n

However, this entire conversation could end up being reframed due to Jones\u2019 decision to re-enter the testing pool<\/a> in July.<\/p>\n

Shortly after this update was made official by Dana White<\/a>, the former UFC<\/a> heavyweight and light heavyweight champion came face-to-face with a fellow legendary fighter.<\/p>\n

Jon Jones is currently looking to earn a spot at the White House<\/a> despite Dana White\u2019s concerns about having him compete at the event.<\/p>\n

This past July, following his comeback reveal, \u2018Bones\u2019 crossed paths with a boxing legend that also knows a thing or two about competing at the highest level under the brightest lights.<\/p>\n

Jones<\/a> was in attendance for the 2025 ESPYS, where he shared a wholesome moment with the former five-weight world champion, Sugar Ray Leonard.<\/p>\n

As one of the iconic \u2018Four Kings\u2019, Leonard went through some gruelling battles<\/a> during his pro career that lasted 20 years from 1977 to 1997.<\/p>\n

The North Carolina native hasn\u2019t been significantly slowed down by his memorable battles against the likes of Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler and Roberto Duran, as he proved to Jones.<\/p>\n

\u2018Bones\u2019 labelled Leonard \u201cthe GOAT\u201d after receiving first-hand experience of the quickfire body shots that the 69-year-old still has in his arsenal.<\/p>\n

The man that many believe was the first to truly defeat Jon Jones returns to the Octagon this weekend<\/p>\n

One of the most impressive aspects of Jon Jones\u2019 legendary career is that aside from a controversial disqualification loss in 2009, he has never been beaten inside the Octagon.<\/p>\n

That being said, many still point to his final bout at light heavyweight as being a result that he was very fortunate to have go in his favor.<\/p>\n

Jones defeated Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision<\/a> in the main event of UFC 247, which remains one of the most referenced scorecards in the history of the promotion.<\/p>\n
