A couple caught cuddling on the jumbotron at a Coldplay concert in July sparking affair rumors were never lovers, a source has told People<\/a> magazine.<\/p>\n

Then-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, 51, was seen with his arms around the company\u2019s HR executive Kristin Cabot, 53, on Coldplay\u2019s kiss cam during the band\u2019s Massachusetts concert on July 13. The pair immediately covered their faces and hid from view generating rumors that the couple, who were both married to other people, were having an affair.<\/p>\n

\u201cUh oh, what?\u201d the band\u2019s frontman Chris Martin said. \u201cEither they are having an affair or they are just very shy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, a source close to Cabot has told People that Cabot was \u201cinappropriately mislabeled\u201d as a \u201chomewrecker\u201d by the public.<\/p>\n

Cabot and Byron were placed on leave shortly after their embrace went viral, with Astronomer saying in a statement that it was \u201ccommitted to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOur leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,\u201d it said. The disgraced executives resigned shortly after.<\/p>\n

However, Andrew Cabot<\/a>, the HR manager\u2019s ex-husband, revealed that he and his wife were already going through a divorce at the time of the concert. <\/p>\n

\"AndyAndy Byron praised Kristin Cabot when Astronomer hired her in November. Astronomer <\/p>\n

Though Byron was also married, the source close to Cabot insisted to People that she did not break up his marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cKristin and Andy had an excellent working relationship, a great friendship. There was no affair,\u201d the source said. \u201cIt was inappropriate to be hugging your boss at a concert, and she accepts full responsibility for it. But the scandal, the downfall, the loss of the job\u2014all of that is unfair.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source claimed that it has been \u201chard\u201d for Cabot to leave her home and that she has focused her attention on her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unfathomable to witness what has happened, and how devastating it can be, for not just individuals, but entire families,\u201d the source told People. \u201cThese are real people and real families. The way people have taken a lot of enjoyment at their expense\u2014it\u2019s hard to see.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"AndyAndy Byron\u2019s LinkedIn page states that he had been the CEO of Astronomer since 2023. LinkedIn <\/p>\n

The source claimed that Cabot had received hundreds of death threats in the wake of the scandal.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the first three days after the news broke, she had about 900 death threats on her phone,\u201d the source told the magazine, slamming the \u201cpublic shaming\u201d of Cabot in the messy aftermath of the concert.<\/p>\n
