The private Facebook group, which contains 11.4k members, describes itself as: \u201cUlster people resisting any form of a so called United Ireland by \u2018using all means which may be found necessary\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n
The comments come after Ms O\u2019Neill told a crowd at the republican plot in Coalisland that \u201cwe are living in the end days of partition\u201d.<\/p>\n
During the speech she honoured \u201cthe sacrifices that were made by those during Easter week of 1916\u201d as well as \u201cevery generation before and since\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverybody has a right to respectfully remember their dead,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Stating that republicans were witnessing \u201ca pivotal moment in history\u201d and that a border poll should be held by the end of the decade, she also said: \u201cWe are living in the end days of partition.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Sinn F\u00e9in spokesperson condemned the postings as \u201cintolerance\u201d and \u201cdisrespect\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll online abuse and threats are despicable and must be stamped out,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere can be no place for this abhorrent behaviour in our society.<\/p>\n
\u201cMichelle O\u2019Neill will not allow these threats to deter her from the important work she is doing in moving our society beyond this type of intolerance and disrespect.\u201d<\/p>\n
A PSNI spokeperson said: \u201cWe do not discuss the security of individuals and no inference should be drawn from this, however we never ignore anything which may put an individual at risk.\u201d <\/p>\n
