{"id":448525,"date":"2025-09-24T18:22:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T18:22:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/448525\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T18:22:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T18:22:11","slug":"birmingham-city-fans-all-say-the-same-thing-as-stat-about-celtic-hero-kyogo-emerges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/448525\/","title":{"rendered":"Birmingham City fans all say the same thing as stat about Celtic hero Kyogo emerges"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Kyogo Furuhashi ended his Stade Rennais nightmare in the summer when he joined Birmingham City.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The EFL Championship side, just promoted from League One, spent \u00a310m on the Japanese striker who is revered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/club\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Celtic<\/a> fans all over the globe.<\/p>\n<p>But so far, the 30-year-old is yet to prove he will be a worthy short-term investment because he hasn\u2019t scored a league goal for the Blues thus far.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/celtic-were-right-to-idolise-him-what-birmingham-city-fans-are-saying-about-kyogo-furuhashi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyogo\u2019s only goal for Birmingham came in the Carabao Cup<\/a> first round victory over Sheffield United when he converted a tap-in.<\/p>\n<p>He started his first four Championship matches, but has only appeared as a substitute for the previous two versus Stoke City and Swansea City.<\/p>\n<p>And there seems to be a common school of thought amongst Birmingham fans about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/tag\/kyogo-furuhashi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kyogo<\/a> so far.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2234570046-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Seung-ho Paik &amp; Kyogo Furuhashi of Birmingham City (R) applaud the fans at the end of the Sky Bet Championship match between Stoke City and Birmingham City at Bet365 Stadium\" \/>Photo by Richard Martin-Roberts\/Getty ImagesKyogo has missed the most big EFL Championship chances<\/p>\n<p>This morning, a stat produced by Second Tier Podcast said that no striker has missed more big chances in the EFL Championship this season than Kyogo with six.<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham fans are all in agreement that Kyogo has fantastic quality in and around the box on and off the ball, but that his finishing lets him down.<\/p>\n<p>One fan posted on X: \u201cMovement like Lionel Messi. Finishing like Marcus Bent. First touch is usually top drawer as is his close control. He has a great footballing brain &amp; outstanding vision\u2026 But he couldn\u2019t hit the broadside of a barn with a banjo at the minute.\u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/danny__king\/status\/1970806577310617805\" rel=\"nofollow\"><\/p>\n<p>Chris Davies on Kyogo\u2019s current form<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham manager <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/chris-davies-backs-kyogo-furuhashi-to-rediscover-celtic-form-after-birmingham-city-struggles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chris Davies recently spoke about Kyogo<\/a> to the press and backed the striker to start scoring goals given his previous pedigree.<\/p>\n<p>Kyogo scored 85 goals for the Hoops, so Davies isn\u2019t panicking just yet. He said: \u201cHe gets chances, that\u2019s what I say about Kyogo. There was another one that came back to him and he\u2019s done an overhead kick, and it\u2019s hit the guy in the face.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe will score. He will score, I don\u2019t doubt it. You just have to look at the stats, look at the amount of goals he scores. He does know how to score goals.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat I love about Kyogo is whenever he is on the pitch, I\u2019m very confident he\u2019s going to get a chance and that\u2019s an exciting player to have. I have no worries about Kyogo.
