PSR has been a big talking point at Leeds over the last few months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leeds United\u2019s 3-1 victory over Wolves<\/a> at the weekend subdued several fears, one of which goes back to the summer window.<\/p>\n

Many were underwhelmed by the business Leeds had done in the market, with the 49ers using PSR as a reason for their failures to bring in the arrivals needed.<\/p>\n

However, there is a chance that the PSR<\/a> rules in the Premier League are altered in the future, and it could leave Leeds in a Catch-22 situation.<\/p>\n

Leeds will have a say in new PSR rules down the line<\/strong><\/p>\n

PSR certainly splits opinion in the Premier League<\/a>, and for the wider perspective, in English football in general, given the gulf that it creates.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Leeds\u2019 officials met with other Premier League clubs in London to discuss several matters in the top flight, including PSR.<\/p>\n

There is nothing planned to change immediately in that regard, but finance expert Dan Plumley has explained how Leeds will want to keep figures on their side, to ensure that their vote in the future is met accordingly.<\/p>\n

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News<\/strong>, he said: \u201cThey will have a seat at the table, they\u2019ve they\u2019ve got their membership of the Premier League, they\u2019ve got a vote.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always interesting with these kinds of things, particularly with the clubs that are have promoted, because at some point you might find yourself not in that league, and what you are voting for within the Premier League might not help you as a Championship club or the other way round.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing in the Premier League benefits Leeds financially, whichever way you cut it, so try and stay there as, as long as you can, and maybe cynically, don\u2019t upset too many people along the way, and some clubs do take that strategy.\u201c<\/p>\n

While Leeds may not have had too much to argue about PSR<\/a> in the summer, the wider issue is one that certainly concerns them.<\/p>\n

PSR is there to stop teams getting close to the Premier League\u2019s precious top six, ultimately.<\/p>\n

While it doesn\u2019t look as though any change in that regard is close, it seems like only a matter of time until something does, and it will almost certainly benefit the Whites from then on.<\/p>\n
