Prince William shares heartfelt message with Southport children about ‘bravery’<\/p>\n
During his visit to Churchtown Primary School in Southport, Prince William inspired students with a heartfelt and powerful message about courage, urging them to \u201cbe brave\u201d and \u201cmove forward with grace and fortitude\u201d.<\/p>\n
With Kate Middleton by his side, the 43-year-old Prince of Wales spent the day in Southport, continuing their promise of support to the community after the tragic July 2024 attack.<\/p>\n
Last year\u2019s tragedy at a local dance class claimed the lives of three young girls: Alice da Silva Aguiar, Bebe King, and Elsie Dot Stancombe.<\/p>\n
Back in October 2024, the Prince and Princess of Wales had travelled to Southport and offered their support to the community grieving the heartbreaking incident. <\/p>\n
The Royal couple were greeted at Churchtown Primary School, Bebe King and Alice da Silva Aguiar were once students.<\/p>\n
After the tragedy, the school introduced a new playground which offers students a space for recovery.<\/p>\n
Prince William took to the stage and began with his speech, “Catherine and I were sadly not able to join you all last week when this wonderful new playground had its grand opening.”<\/p>\n
“We are so happy to be with you today to celebrate this project and to say how proud we are of all of you and the community of Southport,\u201d he shared. “The tragic events that unfolded in this town last year still remain difficult to comprehend.”<\/p>\n
Continuing, \u201cBut last year, Sergio and Alex, you told us you wanted to create a special playground in memory of the girls and here we are.”<\/p>\n
The Future King went on to talk about the newly built playground, saying, “This playground is a symbol of how the community has come together to create such a positive place for the pupils of this school, a symbol of remembrance and resilience, a testament that love will always overcome tragedy.”<\/p>\n
He also addressed the tragic incident and assured them and the community of their continued support. <\/p>\n
