Leeds United\u2019s compensation details have been revealed following their previous dispute with Everton. <\/strong><\/p>\n Leeds were one of five clubs to apply for compensation<\/a> alongside Burnley<\/a>, Leicester City<\/a>, Southampton<\/a> and Nottingham Forest<\/a> after Everton<\/a> were charged with a profit and sustainability (PSR) breach for 2021-22 and 2022-23. <\/p>\n A new development has revealed Burnley are suing Everton for \u00a350million<\/a>, with the case scheduled to begin last week at the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London. <\/p>\n Burnley are claiming they missed out on extra revenue following their relegation from the Premier League<\/a> in 2021-22 \u2013 one of the seasons where Everton were found to have breached the PSR rules. <\/p>\n The Lancashire side, who finished third-bottom and four points behind the Toffees, are the only one of the five clubs to have taken the case to court. <\/p>\n Finance expert Stefan Borson told Football Insider<\/strong> Burnley have a case against Everton<\/a> due to a \u201closs of chance\u201d following their relegation from the top flight. <\/p>\n Everton could be forced to pay Burnley up to \u00a310m in compensation<\/a> if the Clarets are successful in their ongoing legal battle. <\/p>\n MORE FOOTBALL INSIDER STORIES<\/p>\n There has so far been little information provided on whether the other clubs have also decided to take legal action against David Moyes<\/a>\u2019s side. <\/p>\n However, The Athletic<\/a> reported on Tuesday (23 September) Leeds<\/a> and Everton reached an out-of-court settlement earlier this year. <\/p>\n Although the financial package remains undisclosed, the news outlet revealed Elland Road chiefs didn\u2019t believe their case against the Toffees was strong enough to go to court. <\/p>\n Everton were docked a total of eight points<\/a> in the 2023-24 campaign following their spending breaches, with top-flight clubs only permitted to make \u00a3105m of losses over a rolling three-year period. <\/p>\n Everton\u2019s new owners could be forced to pay the compensation<\/p>\n There have been questions asked about who will pick up the bill for Everton following their settlement with Leeds and the ongoing battle with Burnley. <\/p>\n The Friedkin Group<\/a> (TFG), which is spearheaded by Dan Friedkin<\/a>, purchased Everton<\/a> from former owner Farhad Moshiri<\/a> last December. <\/p>\n Borson told Football Insider<\/strong> TFG likely agreed a deal with Moshiri<\/a> to ensure some of the money from the takeover was kept back to pay any potential compensation. <\/p>\n Everton\u2019s owners are looking to improve the club\u2019s financial situation following their previous PSR issues under Moshiri. <\/p>\n The Toffees\u2019 latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their revenue increased from \u00a3172m in 2022-23 to \u00a3187m, while their losses dropped from \u00a389m to \u00a353m across the same
