A search and rescue operation was launched in Edinburgh after a walker <\/a>was injured.<\/p>\n

Police<\/a>, paramedics and Mountain Rescue teams were dispatched to Arthur’s Seat <\/a>on Wednesday. The walker had fallen and injured their leg.<\/p>\n

They were extracted from the hillside and treated with specialist equipment.<\/p>\n

An image from the scene shows police and Mountain Rescue on the scene. The current condition of the walker is not currently known.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland Edinburgh said: “Northeast Support Team responded to a walker who had fallen and sustained a leg injury on Arthur\u2019s Seat, conducting a search operation to find them alongside multi-agency partners from Scottish Ambulance Service, Mountain Rescue and Holyrood Park Rangers.<\/p>\n

“They thereafter helped with the walkers extraction from the hillside using specialist equipment, while coordinating the response.”<\/p>\n

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.<\/p>\n
