{"id":45097,"date":"2025-04-23T23:27:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-23T23:27:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/45097\/"},"modified":"2025-04-23T23:27:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-23T23:27:08","slug":"hotel-indigo-leeds-set-to-open-following-a-multi-million-pound-investment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/45097\/","title":{"rendered":"Hotel Indigo Leeds set to open following a multi-million-pound investment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hotel Indigo, a contemporary 107-bedroom hotel with a connecting bar and restaurant is set to open in Leeds this summer, following a multi-million-pound investment.<\/p>\n<p>Bringing more than 60 jobs to the city, the 4,173m2\u00a0hotel will feature more than 100 hotel bedrooms, two meeting rooms which act as the perfect space for conferences and working lunches.<\/p>\n<p>This will be the 20th\u00a0Hotel Indigo set to be opened by IHG Hotels &amp; Resorts in the UK to date and it will showcase sustainability at its heart in line with the group\u2019s commitment to responsible travel through its Journey to Tomorrow initiative.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greenglobe.com\/green-globe-case-studies-blog\/ihg-journey-to-tomorrow#:~:text=The%20plan%20sets%20quantifiable%2C%20sustainability,move%20to%20reusable%20or%20recyclable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Journey to Tomorrow<\/strong> <\/a>is IHG Hotels &amp; Resorts\u2019 10-year sustainability plan aimed at creating lasting, positive change in the hospitality industry that focuses on improving social equity and tackling climate change through clear targets. <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the hotel will also be home to a modern new restaurant, The Banksia, located on the ground floor of the hotel.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bringing Mediterranean all-day dining to Leeds, The Banksia will celebrate a mix of cultures, echoing the diversity of modern Leeds with its flavourful menu, complete with fresh, local ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>Simon Grace, general manager at Hotel Indigo Leeds, said: \u201cBringing a taste of the sun-soaked Mediterranean, The Banksia bar and restaurant will become the perfect hub for after work drinks, or to wine, dine and dance the night away \u2013 whether people are looking for a private small plates meal with friends, or a large scale a la carte dining experience, The Banksia perfectly caters for it all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Keval Thakerar, director of Belfont Hotels, the hotel\u2019s owners, added: \u201cLeeds is such a thriving city, and we can\u2019t wait to become a part of it.
