Jimmy Kimmel<\/a> has had the longest week of his life, but he\u2019s not taking it easy. In his second show back from suspension on September 24, Kimmel laughed off Donald Trump\u2019s Truth Social post saying he \u201ccan\u2019t believe\u201d ABC brought back the show. \u201cYou can\u2019t believe they gave me my job back?\u201d Kimmel said in his monologue. \u201cI can\u2019t believe we gave you your job back.\u201d Trump\u2019s post continued, \u201cI think we\u2019re going to test\u00a0ABC<\/a>\u00a0out on this. Let\u2019s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers!,\u201d before concluding, \u201cLet\u00a0Jimmy Kimmel<\/a>\u00a0rot in his bad ratings.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s the threat again, this time straight from FCC-biscuit\u2019s mouth,\u201d Kimmel barely had to joke. \u201cOnly Donald Trump would try to prove he wasn\u2019t threatening ABC by threatening ABC.\u201d Despite only returning \u201cfor most of the country,\u201d Jimmy Kimmel Live! had 6.2 million broadcast viewers on September 23 and broke its own monologue-viewing record on YouTube. \u201cHe does know bad ratings. He has some of the worst ratings any president has ever had,\u201d Kimmel laughed at Trump\u2019s record-low approval<\/a>. \u201cSo on behalf of all of us, welcome to the crappy ratings club, Mr. President.\u201d Later in the episode, Ethan Hawke joined the chorus of support<\/a> from Kimmel\u2019s peers in Hollywood, stopping by to say that signing a letter for him was \u201cone of the greatest privileges.\u201d But, uh, he might\u2019ve forgotten to actually sign it.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Related<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Back at the desk.
