The Beat the Street CamGlen game is in its Go Explore week, inviting residents of Cambuslang and Rutherglen to find the area\u2019s hidden gems on foot.<\/p>\n

The free active travel game rewards people for swapping car journeys for walking, cycling, scooting, running and wheeling and there are prizes for the teams that travel the furthest in the six-week game.<\/p>\n

At the start of this week there were 7811 people playing Beat the Street CamGlen and collectively they had clocked up nearly more than 26,500 active travel miles since it started on September 17.<\/p>\n

The weekly theme changes every Wednesday and this week is the game\u2019s \u2018Go Explore\u2019 section where players can score triple points on certain Beat Boxes this Saturday and Sunday \u2013 you just need to find out which ones!<\/p>\n

There are leaderboards for schools, community teams and workplace teams and each is divided into total and average points to ensure that smaller teams are in with an equal chance of winning.<\/p>\n

Currently, Newton Farm Primary School lead the total points leaderboard with Calderwood Primary School and Burnside Primary School in second and third place.<\/p>\n

On the average points leaderboard, Cambuslang Library and Co! is top with Studio One Dramatic Arts and Cathkin High School in second and third place.<\/p>\n

Beat the Street CamGlen continues until October 29, and there\u2019s still time to get involved for the remaining weeks.<\/p>\n
