Shannon Storms Beador<\/a> and Jennifer Pedranti<\/a> came face-to-face with a carjacker on Season 19, Episode 12 of The Real Housewives of Orange County<\/a>\u00a0..or so they thought. The frightening moment turned out to be an elaborate scheme cooked up by Gretchen Rossi<\/a> to teach the \u2018Wives \u201creality-based\u201d self-defense training. Regardless, Shannon maintained it all felt very real on The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show<\/a>\u2014but Heather Dubrow<\/a> didn\u2019t buy it.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m telling you, Heather, it was not okay. It was not fun,\u201d Shannon declared as she spilled the behind-the-scenes details in the video above. She also pretended to shake while adding, \u201cI was like this inside.\u201d<\/p>\n But Heather responded, \u201cI call bulls\u2014t. You knew.\u201d<\/p>\n Shannon walked Heather through what she was thinking as she and Jenn arrived at the class location.<\/p>\n \u201c[The driver] said, \u2018We\u2019re gonna pull up to the door,\u2019 and I said, \u2018Why are the windows down? Can you put the windows up, please?\u2019 And I go, \u2018We can\u2019t pull up with the windows down,\u2019\u201d Shannon, who was sitting by the open window, recalled on the After Show. \u201cAnd then I thought, \u2018Oh, we\u2019re like at an industrial building, they\u2019re not gonna film us getting out of the car. So I guess it\u2019s fine. Leave the window open.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Then Shannon detailed to Heather how the man approached the car: \u201cAll of a sudden, he\u2019s at my face. My heart was literally racing. I thought the blood was leaving my body.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Heather dubiously replied, \u201cReally?\u201d Shannon continued her retelling.<\/p>\n \u201cI was almost frozen, because I wanted to say to the driver, \u2018Drive!\u2019\u201d Shannon explained. \u201cBut I thought, \u2018He\u2019s frozen in fear!\u2019\u2026I thought we were done.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather admitted she didn\u2019t know how she would have reacted in Shannon\u2019s shoes, and told her, \u201cThank god it wasn\u2019t me.\u201d<\/p>\n But when Shannon declared, \u201cI thought we were dead,\u201d Heather sarcastically gestured toward Shannon and told After Show producers she was in fact \u201cnot dead.\u201d<\/p>\n Why Jenn Pedranti was surprised by Shannon Storms Beador’s reaction to the “carjacking” prank<\/p>\n Shannon\u2019s re-telling of the fake carjacking on the After Show didn\u2019t quite match up to what was captured on cameras in the Sept. 25 episode.<\/p>\n Jenn was actually surprised at how \u201ccalm\u201d Shannon stayed during the ordeal. Cameras captured self-defense trainer Josh, posing as a carjacker, approaching Jenn and Shannon in their SUV and commenting, \u201cnice ride.\u201d When Shannon told him she didn\u2019t have any cash on her, he asked for their phones, and began to lean into the open car window.<\/p>\n RELATED:<\/strong> Jennifer Pedranti Shares A Shocking Update On Her and Ryan Boyajian\u2019s Wedding Plans<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n \u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d Shannon asked as she scooched away into Jenn\u2019s seat and grabbed her purse.\u00a0<\/p>\n When the man asked, \u201cAre you prepared to die over that phone?\u201d Shannon began laughing and asked, \u201cIs this part of the show?\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n It was a contrast to Jenn, who called him an \u201ca\u2014hole\u201d jokingly, and added, \u201cI think I s\u2014t myself.\u201d<\/p>\n Jenn was stunned by Shannon\u2019s reaction.\u00a0\u201cAll of a sudden, Shannon\u2019s just calm, cool, collected. Where did this Shannon come from?\u201d she asked in her confessional interview.<\/p>\n But Shannon justified her surprising demeanor by telling producers, \u201cI was functioning frozen. Is that such a thing?\u201d She added, \u201cI thought, \u2018Can I kick his face? Oh, he\u2019ll probably pull my ankle and pull me out of the car.\u2019\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Gretchen Rossi’s RHOC prank, explained<\/p>\n Gretchen explained earlier in the Sept. 25 episode why she wanted the other \u2018Wives to attend the self-defense class. \u201cI feel like we all need this, because we\u2019ve all been around situations that can be sketch at times,\u201d she told Heather and Emily Simpson<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n But Gretchen also let Emily and Heather in on the \u201csurprise\u201d for the other \u2018Wives.<\/p>\n \u201cSo Wes came up with the idea to do this like fake car-jacking,\u201d she shared. \u201cYou never know when something like this is going to happen. And what is going to be your real and raw reaction? And that\u2019s why it\u2019s important to get trained on these things.\u201d<\/p>\n Heather, Emily and Gretchen watched on monitors as Gina Kirschenheiter<\/a> and Tamra Judge<\/a>\u2019s car rolled into the lot, and as a man approached their vehicle and asked for money. When he started gesturing through the open window, Tamra scrambled away into Gina\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n
