So far, it\u2019s made $3.1 million in Thursday previews.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe epic action thriller is projected to open between $20 million to $25 million this weekend. That\u2019s on par with DiCaprio\u2019s last opening weekend, \u201cKillers of the Flower Moon,\u201d which was directed by Martin Scorsese in 2023 and co-starred Robert De Niro. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDiCaprio\u2019s star power, Anderson\u2019s credentials as an auteur and rave reviews will have to work overtime for \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d at the box office, because it carries a hefty $130 million price tag. It\u2019ll need  roughly $300 million to break even. Anderson\u2019s highest-grossing movie of his career is 2007\u2019s \u201cThere Will Be Blood,\u201d which made $76.4 million globally. Warner Bros.\u2019 hot streak of movies could relieve some of the box office pressure, considering their last seven movies all opened above $40 million. That list includes \u201cA Minecraft Movie,\u201d \u201cSinners,\u201d \u201cFinal Destination Bloodlines,\u201d \u201cF1: The Movie\u201d (which the studio distributed for Apple), \u201cSuperman,\u201d \u201cWeapons\u201d and \u201cThe Conjuring: Last Rites.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tIn \u201cOne Battle After Another,\u201d DiCaprio stars as a washed-up revolutionary struggling to raise his teenage daughter as an enemy from his past reemerges. The cast includes Sean Penn, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Chase Infiniti and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAlso opening this weekend is Universal\u2019s G-rated film \u201cGabby\u2019s Dollhouse,\u201d which is targeting a $12 million to $15 million opening. The family-friendly film is based on Netflix\u2019s hit series for pre-schoolers, and it made $700,000 in previews. Lionsgate\u2019s \u201cThe Strangers: Chapter 2,\u201d the second installment of the rebooted horror trilogy, is on track to make $6 million to $8 million.
