Co-op is launching a new concept and look with its ‘on the go’ micro stores \u2013 and Greater Manchester is getting one of the very first.<\/p>\n

Co-op is growing the the mini store format with the launch of a new store in the busy Stamford Quarter of Altrincham, the first of Co-op\u2019s new concept stores to launch in the north west.<\/p>\n

The new stores will feature exclusive products and and brand new deli-selections.<\/p>\n

Co-op\u2019s \u2018on the go\u2019 concept will ‘focus on a range dedicated to serving the growing \u2018food-on-the-go\u2019 consumer culture, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner in exciting new formats, from traditional meal deals to the inclusion of a hot food serve-over counter and deli-inspired selections’, says the food shop giant.<\/p>\n

The new \u2018micro\u2019 store comes from ‘cues from around the world to meet consumer demand for fast, high quality food-for-now, catering to meals on-the-go throughout the day’, according to the brand.<\/p>\n

The stores will open between 7am and 7pm to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in ‘exciting new format’s, with the quick and convenient online home delivery also available.<\/p>\n

After 7pm the store makes the move to online trading only, ‘which includes Co-op\u2019s Irresistible Pizzas cooked and delivered in the community in minutes via Co-op\u2019s quick commerce partners Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats’, says Co-op.<\/p>\n

Co-op has a brand new look with its next concept store<\/p>\n

Co-op\u2019s first \u2018on-the-go\u2019 store launched in Solihull in July, a UK-first for a national grocer. Co-op is now rolling out its new format store, which will be situated in ‘high foot-traffic locations’.<\/p>\n

Gary Williams, Co-op Director of Store Optimisation, said: \u201cThe whole team is excited to launch our new concept store in the Stamford Quarter. We continually look for new ways to get closer to our customers and deliver added convenience.<\/p>\n

“Our new concept brings together an innovative blend of food-to-go propositions, with freshly prepared products designed to stand out in this vibrant and thriving community.<\/p>\n

“Whether in store or online, we cater to \u2018on-the-go\u2019 meals throughout the day, at breakfast, lunch and dinner you will find delicious products, quick service, quality and value, and all in a great convenient location.\u201d<\/p>\n

The first mini store in Greater Manchester, and only the second the country, will open on George Street in Altrincham<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Shoppers can simply pop in for a Costa Coffee, hot baguette, buttermilk chicken tenders or wholesome protein pots for a quick hot lunch on the go”, says the supermarket chain.<\/p>\n

“Extensive new product development exclusive to the format includes all day breakfast meal pots, berry burst bircher and, apple and cinnamon overnight oats.<\/p>\n

“For lunch, a new deli-selection will serve offerings such as smoked salmon, egg and spinach pots; sweet potato bhaji wrap; falafel and houmous salad bowls; chicken, bacon and avocado caesar wrap and, tomato, mozzarella & pesto focaccia bagels.”<\/p>\n
