\n\tFollowing an awkward interview moment at this month\u2019s 82nd Venice Film Festival<\/a> that has gone viral on social media, Ayo Edebiri<\/a> has apparently avoided the online discourse it sparked.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Golden Globe winner recently opened up about the \u201cuncomfortable conversation<\/a>\u201d she had with an Italian journalist about the MeToo<\/a> and Black Lives Matter<\/a> movements in Hollywood, noting that she \u201cdidn\u2019t really pay too much attention\u201d to the fan response.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think I\u2019m less online than I used to be,\u201d she said at a New York Film Festival press conference Friday, according to People<\/a>. \u201cSo I didn\u2019t really, to be completely honest \u2014 and I love to lie, I make money lying. But yeah, I didn\u2019t really pay too much attention.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEdebiri added, \u201cBut, I mean, I think it was just a very human moment. And I think in a strange way, uncomfortable conversation, it\u2019s kind of one of the many things our film is about. So shout out to tie-ins!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Luca Guadagnino<\/a>\u2018s After the Hunt<\/a>, premiering Oct. 10 in theaters, college professor Alma Olsson (Julia Roberts) finds herself at a complicated crossroads when her prized pupil Maggie Price (Edebiri) accuses her colleague Henrik Gibson (Andrew Garfield) of sexual assault, threatening to expose a dark secret from her own past.<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite being awkwardly excluded from a question<\/a> by Italian journalist Federica Polidoro about what was \u201clost during the politically correct era\u201d in Hollywood now that the MeToo and Black Lives Matter movements supposedly \u201care done,\u201d Edebiri clarified that the \u201cwork isn\u2019t finished at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYeah, I know that that\u2019s not for me, and I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s purposeful it\u2019s not for me, but I just am curious,\u201d said Edebiri after the ArtsLife TV reporter clarified her question was only for co-stars Roberts and Garfield during an interview promoting After the Hunt.<\/p>\n

\n\tOne fan on X praised Edebiri for handling the moment \u201cwith poise and grace,\u201d as another called out Polidoro for \u201cbeing unprofessional.\u201d<\/p>\n
