Thousands of people are due to take part in the annual Sheffield 10k on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All the race will start in Arundel Gate at 09:30 BST.<\/p>\n

Runners will then head out along Charter Row and Ecclesall Road before looping round Endcliffe Park and heading back into the city centre.<\/p>\n

A series of road closures will be in place on the day while parking restrictions will also be in force on a number of streets.<\/p>\n

Road closures will be in place on Sunday between 04:00 and 16:00.<\/p>\n

Parking restrictions on roads, including Ecclesall Road, Charles Street, Norfolk Street, Pinstone Street, Surrey Street and Union Street, will come into force at 20:30 on Saturday and stay in place, in some locations, until 16:00 on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Organisers have warned that drivers who do not adhere to parking restrictions could have their vehicles towed away for safety reasons.<\/p>\n

Points along the route will be provided for spectators and supporters, and there will be two first aid stations.<\/p>\n

Emergency vehicles will still be able to access the area throughout the event, according to organisers.<\/p>\n

The 2025 route includes a new section around the halfway point to allow for changes to the start\/finish area [Run for All]<\/p>\n

Becky Major, from Run For All said: “We’re very excited for the Sheffield 10k, because it’s known for its electric atmosphere and being something truly special in the running calendar.<\/p>\n

“It’s truly a celebration of community and resilience – everything the city stands for.”<\/p>\n

Andrew Heyes won the men’s race in 2024, setting a new course record of 29.44, while the women’s race was won by Martha Hanby in a time of 39.31.<\/p>\n

In a slight change, the 2025 route will include an additional section around the halfway point, taking in Graham Road, Fulwood Road and Hangingwater Road before returning to the normal course.<\/p>\n

Run For All said the change had been made to “improve the experience around the Start\/Finish” due to the “growing popularity” of the event.<\/p>\n
