EX-GANGLAND enforcer Paul Ferris has revealed plans for a podcast about Scotland\u2019s crime world.<\/p>\n

The former gangster \u2013 who was known as \u201cThe Wee Man\u201d \u2013 is set to cover the life stories<\/a> of people involved on the other side of the law.<\/p>\n

Ferris, 61, was a notorious figure on Scotland<\/a>\u2018s gang scene in the 1980s and was a key member of the late Glasgow<\/a> gang boss Arthur \u201cThe Godfather\u201d Thomson\u2018s crime empire.<\/p>\n

In 1992, he ended up being acquitted for the murder<\/a> of the crime lord\u2019s son, Arthur Jr, but was caged for gun-running in the late 1990s.<\/p>\n

But Ferris turned his back on the underworld and has since penned several books about his time as an enforcer on Glasgow\u2019s crime-riddled streets.<\/p>\n

He is now setting out to find out about others\u2019 life stories in the podcast, titled Here and Now, the Record reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It will be a 45-minute Q&A session where he quizzes guests from various backgrounds about their experience in the crime world.<\/p>\n

Ferris said: \u201cThe podcast is at an advanced stage but I\u2019ve been diverted due to personal issues just now.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to the bereavement of my brother, some things have been delayed but we\u2019re at an advanced stage. People can be a lot more comfortable with me. They know my background.\u201d<\/p>\n

His first guest will be legendary crime photographer Brian Anderson who has snapped pics of some of Britain\u2018s most notorious bad guys.<\/p>\n

He is also hoping to have a sit down chat with former New York mobster Michael Franzese<\/a>, who was a capo in the city\u2018s feared Colombo crime family and has also spoken out about his time in the mob.<\/p>\n

But Ferris is also keen to tell stories close to home about crime in Scotland.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cOther prominent guests could be from Scotland, England or elsewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n

But the ex-gang figure said the new pod will have to be wary of discussing the ongoing gang war raging across Scotland which has seen dozens of people arrested.<\/p>\n

Ferris added the ongoing legal cases mean the podcast could be struck off if they put them at risk.<\/p>\n

But he is also more interested in the people in his interviews<\/a> than the raging turf war.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cWhat we will be focussing with the podcast is the life stories of individuals rather than the recent scandal that is going on just now.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut if they want a voice to explain what their position is, or maybe the family position, I\u2019d look at the Scottish crime<\/a> thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut it would need to have approval from one side or another.<\/p>\n
