Wanderlei Silva was disqualified in his boxing match in the main event of Spaten Fight Night 2 on Saturday night against Acelino Freitas, and that wasn\u2019t the worst thing that happened in the ring.<\/p>\n
The longtime UFC and PRIDE veteran competed for the first time in a combat sports bout since getting knocked out by Rampage Jackson at Bellator 260 in the second round in September 2018. Silva was penalized three points after a slew of fouls, before the referee disqualified him. A brawl broke out between the two teams before Silva was knocked out cold by a member of Freitas\u2019 team.<\/p>\n
Despite having a nearly 50 pound weight advantage, it was clear from the opening bell that Silva was outmatched, and the unfortunate ending, plus the post-fight brawl knockout led to a very sad ending.<\/p>\n
