Manchester United have been told to sack head coach Ruben Amorim after Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Brentford<\/a>. The Reds<\/a>‘ loss at the Gtech Community Stadium saw Igor Thiago bag a brace before Mathias Jensen added a late goal to secure victory for the home team.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Sesko<\/a> netted his maiden United goal in the first half, but it was of little consequence to the final outcome. United were left licking their wounds after Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty<\/a> and defensive blunders were made in west London.<\/p>\n

The defeat leaves Amorim<\/a>‘s side languishing in 14th place in the Premier League<\/a> table, having garnered a mere seven points from their first six games. They have only managed to find the back of the net seven times so far.<\/p>\n

And former Southampton star Matt Le Tissier has suggested that Amorim’s time is up at Old Trafford<\/a> after Saturday’s loss to Keith Andrews’ team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a big fan of giving managers time to turn things around at football clubs,” he told Football Insider<\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know what Man United fans think, but surely Amorim has been given enough time to sort that team out?<\/p>\n

“Still, there seems to be very little sign of massive improvement in that team. I have to think that his time has come to an end. I don\u2019t think it will be long before the board makes that decision.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s probably the right decision, as much as I don\u2019t like seeing managers getting sacked, but this has been going on for long enough now. I\u2019m not sure that the board and Ratcliffe\u2019s patience can last much longer.\u201d<\/p>\n

United host third-placed Sunderland next Saturday (3pm kick-off UK time) with the Black Cats having made an excellent start to life back in the top-flight. The Reds then face a daunting trip to Premier League champions Liverpool<\/a> after the international break.<\/p>\n
