EXCLUSIVE: The bad blood between Laura Anderson and her ex Gary Lucy continues as a source claims Laura ‘makes it very difficult for everyone to see Bonnie’, their shared daughter<\/p>\n

One of the most toxic celebrity splits<\/a> in recent years intensified last week when it emerged that Scottish reality star Laura Anderson<\/a> had \u201cbonded\u201d with former partner Gary Lucy\u2019s ex-wife over their \u201cexperiences\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now a source claims former Love Islander Laura and Natasha Gray are \u201cjoining forces\u201d<\/a> \u2013 and are totally unapologetic about it. \u201cLaura and Natasha have bonded over their experiences with Gary and neither of them has anything nice to say,\u201d claims our source. \u201cThey don\u2019t see an issue with their friendship. Neither of them are with Gary any more so in their opinion it\u2019s none of his business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laura, 36, and former Hollyoaks<\/a> star Gary, 43, split when she was pregnant with their daughter Bonnie, now two. It was rumoured he didn\u2019t want to relocate to Scotland<\/a> and live apart from his older children.<\/p>\n

Despite a short reconciliation, the two ended things for good and have since engaged in a public war of words, with Laura previously slamming Gary as a \u201cdeadbeat dad\u201d and Gary calling her a \u201cnarcissist\u201d.<\/p>\n

Gary split with Natasha, with whom he has two sons and two daughters, in 2018 after 14 years together. It\u2019s now been claimed she has become Laura\u2019s \u201crock\u201d.<\/p>\n

Another source alleged to The Sun that Natasha allegedly spotted similarities between Laura\u2019s situation and her own and the pair have called the soap star \u201cworse than any baddie on TV\u201d. They went on to claim that because of her own experience Natasha \u201chad a good idea what Gary would do, and how traumatising it would be for Laura\u201d.<\/p>\n

It certainly seems like the pair have each other\u2019s backs. Last week, Laura shared a snap of Natasha and her kids and wrote, \u201cFrom one proud hard working mother to another @natasha_v_lucy. We are lucky to call our beautiful babies siblings. You have been and still continue to be my rock. Bonnie and I love you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

But can you truly be friends with an ex\u2019s ex? According to Tina Wilson, founder of the Wingman dating app, friendships such as these can be \u201cboth healing and hazardous\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the positive side, shared experience creates instant empathy for both. Someone who has walked in your shoes can offer understanding and validation that others won\u2019t understand, especially when it\u2019s under public scrutiny and plays out on social media,\u201d explains Tina. \u201cWith Gary\u2019s children involved on both sides, there is added incentive for the girls to be close to keep the family units as happy as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, there are inherent challenges, too. \u201cOld wounds or comparisons can resurface and stir up insecurities, while blurred boundaries can raise questions about how much should be shared and where loyalty lies,\u201d the dating expert warns. \u201cIf the connection becomes rooted solely in anger and unhappiness, it risks trapping both women in the past, frustrated and reliving hurts.\u201d<\/p>\n

She concludes, \u201cFriendship with an ex\u2019s ex can work, but only when it\u2019s based on mutual respect and clear boundaries. Done right, it can bring strength and solidarity, but it should always be about moving on, not living in the past.\u201d<\/p>\n

Our source says Gary isn\u2019t happy with this newfound friendship \u2013 and worries about what could lie ahead. \u201cHe isn\u2019t happy about them being friends, but he can\u2019t say much to them,\u201d the source said. \u201cHe\u2019s worried they\u2019re plotting against him because he\u2019s all they have in common. It\u2019s an uncomfortable situation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Laura responded angrily to Gary\u2019s \u201cnarcissist\u201d comment, in which he appeared to claim she \u201cexploits\u201d their daughter to stay \u201crelevant\u201d. On Instagram<\/a> Stories, she shared what seemed to be a screenshot of her recent messages with Gary, showing she has him saved on her phone as Lucifer.<\/p>\n

Laura wrote, \u2018I discuss problems with the Child Maintenance System in the UK\u2026 My ex publicly calls me a Narc.\u2019 She continued, \u2018I wake up to messages like this\u2019 and added, \u201cDo not feel silenced by bullies. I am not the Narc.\u2019<\/p>\n

Laura \u2013 who marked one year with her Dundee footballer boyfriend Clark Robertson, 32, in July \u2013 had publicly claimed in the past that Gary had not seen Bonnie for several months. She also maintained that she\u2019d been forced to miss out on work and time with her child because \u201cco-parenting and financial support didn\u2019t exist\u201d.<\/p>\n

A source close to Gary, however, told us, \u2018Gary would love nothing more than the kids and his parents to have a relationship with Bonnie, and also have a relationship himself with his daughter, but Laura has made it incredibly difficult for everybody to see Bonnie \u2013 let alone build a relationship with her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, judging by these events, this sad state of affairs won\u2019t be ending any time soon.<\/p>\n
