\n\tAI<\/a> actress Tilly Norwood<\/a> has attracted the attention of multiple talent agents, actor, comedian and producer Eline Van der Velden told a panel at the Zurich Summit, the industry strand of the Zurich Film Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tTilly Norwood is the first creation to emerge from recently launched AI talent studio Xicoia, a spin-off from Van der Velden\u2019s AI production studio Particle6.<\/p>\n

\n\tVan der Velden said that studios were quietly moving forward with AI projects, and that further announcements would come in the next few months.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe were in a lot of boardrooms around February time, and everyone was like, \u2018No, this is nothing. It\u2019s not going to happen.\u2019 Then, by May, people were like, \u2018We need to do something with you guys,\u2019\u201d said Van der Velden, who was being interviewed on stage Saturday by Diana Lodderhose of Deadline<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen we first launched Tilly, people were like, \u2018What\u2019s that?,\u2019 and now we\u2019re going to be announcing which agency is going to be representing her in the next few months.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn July, Norwood revealed on her Facebook page<\/a> that she had appeared in her first role, a comedy sketch \u201cAI Commissioner,\u201d which can be found below.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tNorwood wrote, \u201cCan\u2019t believe it\u2026 my first ever role is live! I star in \u2018AI Commissioner,\u2019 a new comedy sketch that playfully explores the future of TV development produced by the brilliant team at Particle6 Productions.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe added, \u201cI may be AI generated, but I\u2019m feeling very real emotions right now. I am so excited for what\u2019s coming next!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe want Tilly to be the next Scarlett Johansson or Natalie Portman, that\u2019s the aim of what we\u2019re doing,\u201d Van der Velden told Broadcast International<\/a>, adding that economic issues were driving the movie and TV business toward AI production.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cPeople are realizing that their creativity doesn\u2019t need to be boxed in by a budget \u2013 there are no constraints creatively and that\u2019s why AI can really be a positive,\u201d Van der Velden continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just about changing people\u2019s viewpoint.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a LinkedIn post, Van der Velden commented, \u201cAudiences? They care about the story \u2014 not whether the star has a pulse. Tilly is already attracting interest from talent agencies and fans. The age of synthetic actors isn\u2019t \u2018coming\u2019 \u2014 it\u2019s here.\u201d<\/p>\n
