Patrick Bamford<\/a> looked all set for his next move since leaving Leeds United<\/a> in August, but Getafe appear to have slowed down their talks to sign the striker.<\/strong><\/p>\n

United took the brutal decision to cast Patrick Bamford out from the first team following promotion back to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Shortly before the window shut, Leeds then agreed to terminate the striker\u2019s contract a year early, seeing him free to move clubs.<\/p>\n

With Bamford free to move clubs, reports claimed that he was closing in on a move to Getafe in La Liga. The Spanish outfit lost Christantus Uche to Crystal Palace, and were unable to replace him sufficiently before the window shut.<\/p>\n

It was even suggested that Bamford was ready to fly out to Madrid<\/a> in order to sign for Getafe, as talks advanced. Sheffield United were also noted as a possible suitor<\/a> for the former Whites man.<\/p>\n

However, Matteo Moretto<\/a> now shares that Bamford\u2019s proposed move to Getafe has hit a snag as Jose Bordalas\u2019 side deliberate over whether to sign him.<\/p>\n

Options remain open for Patrick Bamford and Getafe after Leeds United exit<\/p>\n

Getafe are in no position to waste time when looking at the free agent market for strikers. Bordalas has made it clear he needs more.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s no shock they\u2019re questioning a move for Bamford going through, given his long-term form and injury issues.<\/p>\n

It would be good to see Bamford back playing as soon as possible, because he\u2019s still got a lot to offer at a good level.<\/p>\n
