During the winter months at Edinburgh Zoo the hilltop will come alive with giant crabs, whales and a luminous underwater wonderland on the Giant Lanterns trail.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s theme will take visitors on an interactive deep sea journey on dates between 14 November 2025 and 22 February 2026.<\/p>\n

This is a Chinese lantern display with more than 600 lanterns some of which are 20 feet high. The evening can be enjoyed to the full with mulled wine and toasted marshmallows along the way.<\/p>\n

Lindsay Ross, events and experiences manager at Edinburgh Zoo said: \u201cIt is a thrill to see the return of our Giant Lanterns trail. This year\u2019s aquatic theme promises to take our visitors on a magical journey into the deep, exploring the world of underwater wildlife, alongside marine myths and legends.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope this immersive experience helps connect people with nature and raise awareness of the importance of protecting wildlife and their habitats, from coral reefs to sea birds and everything in between. Every visit helps support our charity\u2019s vital wildlife conservation work in Scotland and around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tickets for Edinburgh Zoo\u2019s Giant Lanterns are on sale now from their websiteedinburghzoo.org.uk\/lanterns<\/a>. Ticket prices vary for off-peak, standard and peak nights.\u00a0 Entry is open from 4:45pm with the last entry at 8pm.<\/p>\n

The VIP package ticket includes a full day of zoo access, an evening meal and direct access to the lantern trail.<\/p>\n
