TikTok star Abby Howard<\/strong> suffered a pregnancy loss after an unexpected complication.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt a routine pregnancy appointment, our doctor could not find a heartbeat,\u201d Abby, 26, and husband Matt Howard<\/strong> wrote in a joint Instagram<\/a> post on Saturday, September 27. \u201cShortly after they sent us in for an ultrasound where the technician said words we will never forget, \u2018I am so sorry I do not have good news.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

They added, “That is when we got the gender reveal we never hoped for and also the news that our baby had a genetic condition that took her life around 17 weeks gestation. The news felt unimaginable.\u201d<\/p>\n

Matt and Abby announced in August that they were expecting their third baby. The couple also share sons Griffin, 3, and August, 2.<\/p>\n

In light of the tragic miscarriage<\/a>, the Howards further said on Saturday that they plan to take a social media hiatus. (Neither Matt nor Abby further elaborated on their unborn child\u2019s diagnosis.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe grief is absolutely devastating, but we feel so much gratitude for the time that we did get to have with her,\u201d their social media statement added. \u201cAnd we still have hope. Hope has continued to show up for us in so many ways. For now we will grieve and continue to think of ways to honor her life offline.\u201d<\/p>\n

They concluded, \u201cThoughts and prayers are more than welcome. Thank you everyone for celebrating this precious life with us for the past 17 weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jill Duggar, Lindsay Arnold, Sadie Robertson, Devin Cordle, Sam Patterson<\/strong> and Emilie Kiser<\/strong> also offered their condolences.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m so incredibly sorry,\u201d Kiser, whose 3-year-old son died in May<\/a> after drowning in her family pool, wrote. \u201cSending you love and comfort. Here for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kiser, 26, also took a social media break after son Trigg\u2019s death, returning to her platform earlier this month.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey you guys, don\u2019t even know what to say,\u201d Kiser said in a September 20 video<\/a> shared via TikTok. “It\u2019s been a minute since I\u2019ve obviously come on here. Not gonna lie, I\u2019m really nervous right now. I don\u2019t really know if there\u2019s any right way to start this video, but I\u2019m going to do my best.\u201d<\/p>\n
