A woman in her 80s and a male pedestrian have died in separate accidents on Northern Ireland\u2019s roads.<\/p>\n
The elderly woman died after a collision in Co Antrim on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n
The two vehicle crash happened in the Glarryford area.<\/p>\n
Inspector Cherith Adair of the PSNI\u2019s Collision Investigation Unit said: \u201cShortly after 2pm, we received a report that a collision had occurred in the Killagan Road area.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur officers attended alongside emergency service partners, however the woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
“Three other people have been taken to hospital for treatment for their injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe road, which was closed for a period of time as officers conducted enquiries, has now re-opened.\u201d<\/p>\n

Separately, a man has died following a road traffic collision on the Ballygowan Road in east Belfast.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to the scene where the male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle shortly after 11pm on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Police, fire and ambulance crews all attended.<\/p>\n
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, and investigations were carried out.<\/p>\n
Inspector Adair added: \u201cJust after 11pm, we received a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle in the Ballygowan Road area.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur officers attended alongside emergency service partners, however the man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n
