Last week, the story that got the most eyeballs<\/a> was Terence Crawford<\/strong> being forced to surrender his WBA super Welterweight boxing title just a couple of weeks after defeating Canelo Alvarez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Last week, our readers torched Kelvin Gastelum<\/strong> for missing the weight for the 500th time this last week<\/a>, and legendary coach, Ray Longo<\/strong>, blamed the UFC \u2014 well, Heavyweight Justin Tafa<\/strong> was going to miss weight<\/a> for the second time but ended up pulling out with health-related issues \u2026 well, he got the Gastelum treatment too.<\/p>\n

Ticket sales were not the best for UFC Perth<\/a> \u2026 even though it\u2019s now the highest-selling event in Australian Fight Night history.<\/p>\n

Fighter \u2018Comment of the Week\u2019 \u2014 He said what?!?!?!<\/strong><\/p>\n

UFC Perth headliner Dominick Reyes<\/strong> was so confident in his training that he proclaimed that he would have beaten the 2020 version<\/a> of himself that beat but didn\u2019t beat<\/a> Jon Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Well \u2026 he got slept in the first round (watch highlights<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Shoutout to The_Citadel<\/a> for pointing out UFC Featherweight Nathaniel Wood<\/strong> is kind of getting screwed in his next matchup with an unranked, relative UFC newcomer.<\/p>\n

Neil Magny<\/strong> got the comeback win<\/a> at UFC Perth (watch highlights<\/a>), but also looked like he was auditioning for WWE.<\/p>\n

This Past Week in MMA History:<\/strong><\/p>\n

UFC 152: Jones vs. Belfort<\/a><\/strong><\/strong> – Sept. 22, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jon Jones<\/strong> defended his Light Heavyweight title for the fourth time at UFC 152, submitting Vitor Belfort<\/strong> in the fourth round \u2014 bad to get through some adversity.<\/p>\n

On the same card, Cub Swanson<\/strong> knocked out Charles Oliveira<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

UFC Fight Night: Saint Preux vs. Okami<\/a><\/strong> – Sept. 23, 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been eight years since UFC has been to Japan, which is a damn shame. Ovince Saint Preux<\/strong> put Yushin Okami<\/strong> to sleep in the final headliner.<\/p>\n

UFC 63: Hughes vs. Penn 2<\/strong> – Sept. 23, 2006<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the highly anticipated rematch between Matt Hughes<\/strong> vs. BJ Penn<\/strong>, Hughes stopped Penn in the third round to defend his Welterweight title.<\/p>\n

UFC Fight Night: Cyborg vs. Lansberg<\/a> – Sept. 24, 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cris Cyborg<\/strong> headlined her first UFC fight card in her native Brazil and beat down Lina Lansberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

UFC 266 went down in Las Vegas, Nevada, and had one of the craziest championship rounds in recent memory when Brian Ortega<\/strong> almost caught Alexander Volkanovski<\/strong> with two submissions.<\/p>\n

On the same card, Nick Diaz<\/strong> fought his final UFC fight against Robbie Lawler<\/strong>, and Merab Dvalishvili <\/strong>survived a crazy first round to come back and finish Marlon Moraes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
