Club legend Wayne Rooney has delivered his clear verdict on Ruben Amorim and INEOS, insisting there is \u201cno soul\u201d at Manchester United.<\/p>\n
Rooney, unsurprisingly, is far from pleased with what he has seen from Man Utd<\/strong><\/a> this season, with the Premier League giants placed 14th in the table after six matches.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Head coach Amorim<\/strong> <\/a>is under intense pressure following his side\u2019s poor 3-1 defeat against Brentford on Sunday, with the Man Utd boss currently the favourite to be the next Premier League manager to be sacked.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Following the loss to Brentford, it has been reported that Amorim retains the support of INEOS<\/strong><\/a>, but he and Man Utd desperately need a win when they host newly-promoted Sunderland at Old Trafford next Saturday.<\/p>\n Rooney did not pull any punches when dissecting Man Utd and Amorim, admitting that he has \u201cno faith\u201d in the head coach to turn things around.<\/p>\n He has also told INEOS to do \u201cwhatever it takes to get Man Utd back\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cI am not seeing anything which is giving me any confidence, there needs to be big changes in my opinion,\u201d Rooney told BBC Sport<\/a>.<\/p>\n READ:\u00a0Who will be the next Man Utd manager if Ruben Amorim is sacked?<\/a> \u201cManager, players, whatever that is. I don\u2019t see players fighting, I don\u2019t see character, I don\u2019t see desire to win.<\/p>\n \u201cI go to a game watching, expecting, here we go again \u2013 expecting the team to lose or maybe pick up a point.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not even just results on the pitch. It\u2019s everything about the club that needs fixing \u2013 Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos have walked into a real challenge.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re seeing staff members getting sacked after 20, 30 years who are very important people to that football club.<\/p>\n \u201cThe soul has gone from the club. It needs a new engine, a new lease of life. It needs something to kickstart that football club.\u201d<\/p>\n MORE MAN UTD COVERAGE ON F365\u2026 Rooney has also insisted that the club\u2019s owners need to send a \u201cclear message\u201d to appease supporters.<\/p>\n \u201cThere needs to be a clear message from the owners,\u201d Rooney continued.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether that is the Glazers, [minority owner] Sir Jim Ratcliffe, there has to be a message of where this club is going. At the minute we are all sitting there waiting for it to crumble.<\/p>\n \u201cThe culture of that football club has gone. I see it on a daily basis. I see staff losing jobs, people walking out of jobs.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve got two kids [in the academy] at that football club and I really hope this doesn\u2019t affect what they\u2019re doing.
