Instead, Charles and Camilla visited Rome and Ravenna in northeastern Italy.<\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1167\" data-is-only-node=\"\" data-start=\"990\">A private meeting with Pope Francis took place on April 9 &#8211; just two weeks before the death of the first Latin American pontiff, who passed away from a stroke and heart failure.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"0 0 []\">Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already met personally with the new Pope.
