{"id":460414,"date":"2025-09-29T12:35:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:35:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/460414\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T12:35:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T12:35:10","slug":"perus-gen-z-rallies-against-president-boluarte-protests-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/460414\/","title":{"rendered":"Peru\u2019s Gen Z rallies against President Boluarte | Protests News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Published On 29 Sep 202529 Sep 2025<\/p>\n<p>Click here to share on social media<\/p>\n<p>share2<\/p>\n<p class=\"rich-share__social-text\">Share<\/p>\n<p>At least 19 people, including a police officer, have been injured during protests against the government of Peruvian President Dina Boluarte and Congress, according to authorities and human rights advocates.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of people marched over the weekend towards the seats of government in central Lima, under a heavy police presence.<\/p>\n<p>Groups of young people threw stones, petrol bombs and fireworks at law enforcement, who responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.<\/p>\n<p>The National Human Rights Coordinator (CNDDHH), a human rights coalition, reported on Sunday that 18 people were injured in the clashes, including a journalist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA police officer suffered first-degree burns from a Molotov cocktail during the march organised by various groups,\u201d the National Police reported on Saturday, sharing images of the clashes on social media.<\/p>\n<p>The CNDDHH blamed the police for the violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe call on the police to respect the right to protest.
