They have already held their own and picked up points against many strong teams.

Several pundits have already walked back on predictions that Leeds would go down. Indeed, some of the Premier League’s more established teams are looking in greater danger of flirting with the bottom three this season.

Now, former Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham manager Harry Redknapp has had his say on this season’s relegation scrap.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he suggested that all three promoted teams could survive.

He said: “Leeds are always dangerous. Elland Road is a difficult place to go and get a victory. It’s always intimidating, big crowd, great atmosphere, so it’s going to be tight.

“It’s going to be open, who knows, it could be a complete turnaround. All three [promoted teams] could stay up, which would be amazing because we’ve not had that for years.”

Leeds’ bright start suggests they have more than enough to stay up

Premier League history suggests that teams who start well tend to stay up.

In fact, ever since the Premier League was formed in 1992, 100 per cent of teams that have picked up at least 11 points in their first 10 games have survived.

Daniel Farke’s side are one win away from that magic number already.

Date

Opponent

4 October

Tottenham (H)

18 October

Burnley (A)

24 October

West Ham (H)

1 November

Brighton (A)

Leeds’ next four Premier League fixtures

They have some winnable fixtures in October against some other teams tipped to struggle this season. The way Leeds are currently playing, it would be hard to bet against picking up a couple of wins at least.

With that said, Farke will be keen to keep his big stars like Anton Stach, Sean Longstaff and Dominic Calvert-Lewin fit. These three have been behind most of Leeds’ good attacking play, and it’s not clear whether they have the personnel to replace their output.

Leeds’ season may rely on their continued availability.

Enjoyed this article? Stay connected with all the latest Leeds United news, updates, and behind-the-scenes content by following us on our new Instagram account –@motleedsnews

Credit: Imago Mon 29 September 2025 12:57, UK Leeds picked up another useful point after drawing 2-2 with…

[8814
748,393,4884,12513,1860,101,16,15
0":"post-460453","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-leeds","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-harry-redknapp","12":"tag-leeds","13":"tag-premier-league","14":"tag-uk","15":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
