To warm up even more after being in the frost and snow in winter, you can enjoy Stavaig Sauna which provides panoramic views of Lochnagar.<\/p>\n<p> The highland town of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ballaterwinterfestival.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ballater also has a winter festival<\/a><strong> to get into the festive spirit.<\/strong> This yearly event unites the community with the festive season for fun and merriment through family fun, a craft fair, a choir and even a very special visit from the Cairngorm Reindeer! <\/p>\n<p>Temperatures to expect<\/p>\n<p><strong>Braemar has achieved some record breaking winter temperatures, <\/strong>from a low of -27.2\u00b0C back in 1995 which was the<strong> lowest ever recorded in the UK<\/strong>. While it does get cold there in winter, it is rarely that cold!
