\n\tEXCLUSIVE: <\/strong>Two-time Oscar nominee Bette Midler<\/a> has inked a deal to star alongside Jonah Hill and Kristen Wiig in Cut Off<\/a>, the new comedy that Jonah Hill co-wrote and will direct for Warner Bros<\/a>. Pictures.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the film, following rich siblings (Hill & Wiig) who are cut off from their parents, Midler will play the family matriarch. Written by Ezra Woods and Hill, pic will shoot this fall with Strong Baby\u2019s Matt Dines and Ali Goodwin producing alongside Hill. Jesse Ehrman and Zach Hamby are overseeing for the studio, which has slated the film for release in theaters worldwide on July 17, 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe rare film shooting in California these days, the film is doing so with a $10M tax credit, as previously reported.<\/p>\n

\n\tA multi-hyphenate musical talent who broke out with the 1979 drama The Rose, Midler is also known for turns in films like Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Beaches, For the Boys, and The First Wives Club. Over the course of her six-decade career, she\u2019s been honored with four Golden Globes, three Grammys, three Emmys, two Tonys, and a Kennedy Center Honor, with two Oscar nominations as well, as previously mentioned.<\/p>\n

\n\tMost recently, Midler has been seen in the sequel to her classic Disney film Hocus Pocus, which broke streaming records<\/a> for Disney+, as well as films like Sitting in Bars with Cake and The Fabulous Four.
