Ex royal Meghan Markle<\/a> is said to have had a “total emotional re-think”<\/a> after her marriage to Trevor Engelson, and now, her father, Thomas Markle is offering additional insight to her love life before her marriage to Prince Harry.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Thomas Markle previously offered a glimpse into Meghan Markle<\/a>‘s romantic history before she encountered Prince Harry<\/a> in 2016, having been wed to Engelson for two years before her romantic royal nuptials in 2018.<\/p>\n

Now, as she is also shortlisted for a prestigious award despite accuring a large share of critics<\/a>, more is being revealed about the life she had prior to her royal romance.<\/p>\n

Speaking about her university years, author Tina Brown previously disclosed that Meghan had her “pick of the sought-after basketball hunks.”<\/p>\n

Revealing that she had conversed with Meghan’s father while conducting research for the book, she continued, saying, “She was always very clear about who she wanted, her father told me.”<\/p>\n

Thomas, who has remained distant from Meghan since her marriage to Harry, informed Ms Brown that “Her first year at college, she pointed at one guy and said, ‘That boy is going to be my boyfriend’. And he became her boyfriend…”, before delivering a 6-word observation that, “she’s very, very effective with men.”<\/p>\n

Meghan’s initial boyfriend was allegedly a basketball player named Steve Lepore, whom she encountered during her freshman year at Northwestern University.<\/p>\n

The former pair reportedly dated for approximately five months before Steve accepted an opportunity at a college in North Carolina, reports the Express.<\/p>\n

According to author Andrew Morton, Meghan and Steve were characterized as “quite the pair”.<\/p>\n

After several additional relationships, Meghan eventually encountered Trevor, with Ms Brown characterizing them as having a “tender dynamic.”<\/p>\n

In discussing Meghan and Trevor’s relationship, Ms. Brown penned, “Meghan did not feel that her producer boyfriend was helping her get good parts. Though [Trevor] Engleson was more successful, Meghan exhibited greater ambition. She nagged him to be more aggressive.”<\/p>\n

Before meeting Prince Harry<\/a>, Meghan’s last romantic involvement was with Canadian chef Cory Vitiello, who has since stated there was “no bitterness” between them post-breakup.<\/p>\n

After a two-year courtship, Meghan tied the knot with Harry in May 2018.
