\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cOne Battle After Another<\/a>\u201d opened at No. 1 at the U.K. and Ireland box office with \u00a32.4 million ($3.3 million), according to Comscore. <\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s event reissue \u201cHamilton<\/a> (10th Anniversary)\u201d sang its way to a strong No. 2 debut with $2.4 million. <\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cDownton Abbey: The Grand Finale<\/a>\u201d continued to draw audiences in its third weekend, adding $1.8 million for a total of $18.1 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cThe Conjuring: Last Rites<\/a>\u201d ranked fourth with $1.1 million, bringing its cumulative total to $22.1 million. Lionsgate U.K.\u2019s \u201cThe Long Walk\u201d held fifth place, taking $630,000 for a running total of $4.9 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cThe Roses\u201d followed at No. 6 with $466,000, reaching $12.4 million overall. Horror sequel \u201cThe Strangers: Chapter 2\u201d from Lionsgate U.K. entered at No. 7 with $448,000, while Dreamz Entertainment\u2019s Telugu-language film \u201cThey Call Him OG\u201d debuted close behind in eighth with $439,000.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnime hit \u201cDemon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle,\u201d released by Sony Pictures, dropped to ninth, earning $436,000 for a total of $8.4 million. Rounding out the top 10, Universal\u2019s \u201cThe Bad Guys 2\u201d added $318,000, lifting its total to $18.3 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmong upcoming releases, on Oct. 1, Trafalgar Releasing brings two remastered BTS concerts back to cinemas \u2014 \u201cBTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo\u201d and \u201cBTS 2019 \u2018Love Yourself: Speak Yourself\u2019 London\u201d \u2014 both directed by Jo Hyeongseok and playing across 100+ locations. The same day, Screenbound Pictures rolls out \u201cThe Story of Skids: Scotland\u2019s No.1 Punk Band,\u201d a documentary from Mark Sloper featuring Richard Jobson, while Dreamz Entertainment bows Rishab Shetty\u2019s highly anticipated Indian prequel \u201cKantara A Legend: Chapter 1.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tOct. 2 sees the release of Bollywood romance \u201cSunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari\u201d via Moviegoers Entertainment, alongside \u201cRadiohead X Nosferatu: A Symphony Of Horror,\u201d an experimental fusion project distributed by CinemaLive. Horror classic \u201cThe Curse of Frankenstein,\u201d directed by Terence Fisher and starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, returns in a 4K restoration from Hammer\/Icon.<\/p>\n

\n\tA crowded slate arrives on Oct. 3, led by wide releases \u201cHim,\u201d a Universal thriller from Justin Tipping starring Marlon Wayans, Julia Fox and Tyriq Withers, and \u201cThe Smashing Machine,\u201d Benny Safdie\u2019s drama for Entertainment Film Distributors starring Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt. Other highlights include Jackie Chan and Tony Leung Ka-fai in Trinity CineAsia\u2019s \u201cThe Shadow\u2019s Edge,\u201d Gilles Legardinier\u2019s \u201cMr. Blake At Your Service,\u201d starring John Malkovich, Fanny Ardant and \u00c9milie Dequenne, via Vertigo Releasing, and Audrey Lamy starrer \u201cThe Kitchen Brigade\u201d from Tull Stories.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlso opening are \u201cDon\u2019t Let\u2019s Go To The Dogs Tonight,\u201d a Sony drama led by Embeth Davidtz and Lexi Venter; Universal\u2019s \u201cHim\u201d; and \u201cStrange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror,\u201d a Kaleidoscope Entertainment documentary revisiting the cult musical with Richard O\u2019Brien, Tim Curry and Susan Sarandon. Picturehouse Entertainment\u2019s \u201cUrchin\u201d and Dartmouth Films\u2019 activist doc \u201cPower Station\u201d broaden the lineup.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnniversary reissues are also part of the week\u2019s offering. Park Circus celebrates James Bond with a 30th anniversary re-release of \u201cGoldenEye\u201d on October 5, while Disney returns James Cameron\u2019s \u201cAvatar: The Way of Water\u201d to cinemas.
