One of Big Brother’s most iconic winners made a rare public appearance on Monday, as he attended a gala screening for the Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson’s biopic I Swear.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Pete Bennett<\/a>, 43, was crowned winner of the legendary reality show back in 2006, in a series that also featured the late Nikki Grahame<\/a>, Imogen Thomas<\/a> and Grace Adams-Short as housemates.<\/p>\n

Pete, who openly spoke about his own Tourette’s diagnosis on Big Brother, was among the names on the red carpet for the premiere.<\/p>\n

The film details the life of campaigner John Davidson, now 54, who was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at a time when little was known about the condition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Posing for snaps on the red carpet of the screening, Pete was in high spirits dressed in a leather jacket and displaying his vast array of tainttoos.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The film stars\u00a0Robert Aramayo as campaigner John, who himself was at the screening, and depicts his younger years living in\u00a0Glasgow<\/a>, when he was first diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome.<\/p>\n

It comes as the new series of Big Brother kicked off on ITV on Sunday night, the third since the channel revived the series back in 2023.<\/p>\n

Last year, Pete posed in a backstage snap from his new gangster movie, Fall To The Top, in which he plays a ‘seasoned drug dealer’.<\/p>\n

The actor and singer was seen alongside co-star and the film’s director Peter Hirst as they took a breather from filming.<\/p>\n

Pete joins Chuckle Brothers legend Paul Chuckle in the cast for the upcoming film, after the funnyman, 77, was seen filming scenes as hitman The Jackal.<\/p>\n

Standing in what appeared to be a conservatory, Pete looked in great spirits as he looked at footage on a camera with Peter, with other members of the crew seen around them.<\/p>\n

Pete, who plays Paul in the gritty flick, cut a casual figure for his role, donning a skull-print T-shirt, dark grey hoodie and cream patterned trousers.<\/p>\n

Captioning his snap, Peter, who has appeared in Sky’s Brassic among other films and shows, commented: ‘Brilliant time filming today with @petebennettuk and the @falltothetopofficialmovie crew. @shelly.7919 @johnny_wilson_official @stephenreillyactor.’<\/p>\n

The film’s official Instagram describes Pete’s character as a ‘seasoned drug dealer from the streets, cocky but knowledgeable, he works for Kenny and stays loyal, he has no ambition to get any higher, he’s perfectly content, loves animals and doesn’t mind sampling the goods on occasion.’<\/p>\n

Shirley Henderson was also among the cast in attendance for the premiere<\/p>\n

Since winning Big Brother, Pete has embarked on an acting career, starring in several comedies, zombie movies and independent films.<\/p>\n

He also appeared alongside Catherine Tate and Matthew Horne in 2022’s The Nan Movie.<\/p>\n

Pete is also the lead singer of punk Rock\u2019n\u2019Roll band Love Dogz.<\/p>\n

With his punkish bleached hair, eye-liner and outlandish wardrobe, Pete endeared himself to millions after entering the show despite suffering from chronic Tourette Syndrome.\u00a0<\/p>\n
