{"id":462906,"date":"2025-09-30T11:10:12","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T11:10:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/462906\/"},"modified":"2025-09-30T11:10:12","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T11:10:12","slug":"legends-bold-springboks-team-prediction-as-rassie-will-shock","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/462906\/","title":{"rendered":"Legend&#8217;s bold Springboks team prediction as Rassie will shock"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Former Springboks centre Jean de Villiers predicts that Rassie Erasmus will surprise Argentina with his team selection for the Rugby Championship rematch at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Erasmus\u2019 charges marched to an impressive 67-30 victory over Los Pumas in Durban in round five of the tournament and will now face off against the same opposition in the final game of this year\u2019s competition with their title on the line.<\/p>\n<p>In a rare occurrence, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/team\/south-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Springboks<\/a> head coach made only a handful of changes to his matchday 23 from the game before \u2013 when South Africa handed the All Blacks their biggest-ever defeat \u2013 with most of the alternations made due to injury.<\/p>\n<p>Rassie to shock Pumas<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/tag\/jean-de-villiers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">De Villiers<\/a> predicts that for a third match week in a row, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetrugby.com\/tag\/rassie-erasmus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erasmus<\/a> won\u2019t make sweeping changes but doesn\u2019t rule out a shock call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRassie sticks with the current team and probably goes with a 7-1 and does something that no one is thinking about at the moment,\u201d the former captain said on the <a rel=\"noopener nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jp09JghNGuw\" target=\"_blank\">Good, Bad and Rugby AUNZ<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t seem him going away from the team that started at the weekend, apparently there were quite a few injuries like Cheslin Kolbe, Ethan Hooker, Thomas du Toit, who have niggles, so they might not be available for selection. But then again, the depth that he has been able to create in that squad puts you in a position where guys slot in seamlessly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut in terms of the team that started, I can\u2019t see a lot of changes.
