A petition is circulating in a bid to ‘put residents first’ and stop fireworks being let off all year round.<\/p>\n
‘Families are losing sleep, children, the elderly and animals left scared by loud bangs and the time had come to crackdown on the disturbance which often goes on late into the night’, according to Birmingham’s Liberal Democrat group.<\/p>\n
The party are pressing on the government for stronger powers so councils could better protect communities.<\/p>\n

Fireworks should no longer mean year-round misery for Birmingham<\/a> \u2019s neighbourhoods.<\/p>\n
