Wolves talisman Matheus Cunha is widely expected to leave the club this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Brazilian signed a new contract earlier this year, but that new deal included a \u00a362.5 million release clause.<\/p>\n

That was perhaps lower than most people anticipated, and gives several teams a good chance to land him.<\/p>\n

The club currently in pole position to sign Cunha is Manchester United, who are in talks with the player<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Molineux News<\/strong> has been informed that Wolves are open to negotiating over the payment structure or Cunha\u2019s release clause<\/a>, which would help United land the player without paying it all in one go.<\/p>\n

Cunha\u2019s exit now seems pretty nailed on.<\/p>\n

And one concerning claim made yesterday suggests that the time really has come for Cunha to leave the club.<\/p>\n

Cunha is a seriously good footballer.<\/p>\n

Arguably, he is one of the best players ever to wear the Wolves shirt, and he can do things on the pitch that no one else can.<\/p>\n

But Cunha has also frustrated fans this year, and some feel as though all the transfer talk has gone to his head.<\/p>\n

Yesterday, journalist Alex Crook dropped an update on Cunha to United \u2013 and suggested the South American has now become an unpopular figure with some of his teammates.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cCunha I think is a very talented player, no question about that. The numbers over the past couple of seasons back it up.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut he is seen as a troublesome character. I\u2019m told he\u2019s not the most popular man in that Wolves dressing room, even with his own teammates. Obviously he\u2019s had a couple of suspensions that could have been avoided this season.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut actually, looking deeper, he\u2019s only ever been sent off once in his career. So he\u2019s not someone who\u2019s got a history of bad boy behaviour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wolves must now ensure Cunha leaves<\/p>\n

At the moment Wolves are in a very healthy place.<\/p>\n

Vitor Pereira<\/a> has done a tremendous job and has Wolves on a five-game winning streak.<\/p>\n

The picture has totally changed, and there is now a real togetherness at Molineux<\/a>. This has been emphasised by Wolves hanging a new picture up at Compton<\/a>, showing the celebrations of the team after the recent win over Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

Wolves can\u2019t be carrying anyone who jeopardises that, so it is now vital that Cunha\u2019s exit is facilitated following this claim from Crook.<\/p>\n
