Levy, who is two years older than William\u2019s father King Charles<\/a> at 78, was invited to meet William at the castle in order to be given a personal guided tour for a new episode of his Apple TV+<\/a> series The Reluctant Traveler, called Living The Royal Life In The UK.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Claudia Winkleman makes surprising Celebrity Traitors confession: ‘I was scared’<\/a>READ MORE: Meghan Markle baffles fans as they issue same complaint about cryptic Instagram post<\/a> The Prince of Wales<\/a>, 43, told him that the Queen, with whom he was especially close, was always in his thoughts when he was at Windsor Castle.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s been quite a bit of change, so you do sort of, you think about them not being here any more, and particularly being in Windsor, for me Windsor is her. She loved it here, she spent most of her time here.\u201d<\/p>\n In the show Levy, known primarily for his comedic skills, is seen arriving in London before receiving a written invitation from Prince William<\/a> to join him at the castle – and to wear clothes suitable for a dog walk.<\/p>\n The pair chat in a relaxed fashion as they take in the building and wander in the grounds and William tells the screen star that the tour he is giving him has been hugely influenced by his late grandmother. \u201cShowing you around today is very much a case of trying to make sure I\u2019m doing it in the way she\u2019d want you to see it,\u201d he explains.<\/p>\n \u201cShe had her horses here as well, as you can imagine that was a big deal for her so that\u2019s why she loved it here.\u201d<\/p>\n In a clip released last week, William was shown having a pint in a local pub with Levy, during which he admitted that 2024 had been \u201cthe hardest year I’ve ever had\u201d after his wife Katherine, and his father, were both diagnosed with cancer.<\/p>\n “Life is said to test us as well and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are,” he reasoned.<\/p>\n Their day together, filmed in February, will be available from Friday and comes after William\u2019s brother Harry<\/a> made a four-day visit to the UK earlier this month in which he met with his father, King Charles, for the first time in two years but did not see William.<\/p>\n The heir to the throne has spoken previously of his closeness to his \u201cgrannie\u201d with whom he spent many holidays and who helped him cope with the loss of his mother, Diana<\/a>. After the Queen\u2019s death he said: “She was by my side at my happiest moments. And she was by my side during the saddest days of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Royal historian Robert Lacey has said she would give him regular training on how to be king from a young age. “When William became a teenager, she would have him at Windsor Castle and would open the state boxes and guide him through the papers,\u201d he explained last year. \u201cIt was William’s constitutional education.”<\/p>\n Like this story?
